This is the final design (and variants) of a new logo I designed for Show and Go Restorations in Red Deer AB...customer's shop specializes in factory-correct nut-and-bolt restorations of vintage MOPAR products, so obviously, the graphics needed to reflect that!

They wanted a "Flintstone-esque" cartoon caveman character that could be used in a series of humorous "Sunday-Funnies" style of ads put together to help re-inforce the message that clean, well-serviced rental equipment leads to satisfied (and subsequently REPEAT) customers...

CANCELED for cancer.

What you see here is an event poster I did up for a cancer fundraiser that was CANCELED - NOT because of inclement weather or lack of interest...because the amount of money required to INSURE the event's promoters would have DECIMATED any funds that were raised for cancer research. I'm sure this makes sense, somewhere...

Photo Tweak.

Here we see a mediocre shot of the back of the garage. Rather than deleting it, I decided to "tweak" it in Photoshop, and improve the source photo. This time, the tweaks were subtle...3 or 4 filters and a few adjustments to lighting and colour. The only obvious alteration was to "repair" the flattened down spout on the LHS of the garage. It's still not a great shot, but it's certainly usable now!

Freelance 101.

This is a crest designed for a jacket that I did up a few years ago...it was done "on spec" - meaning it was done WITHOUT an agreed-upon price for the final product. Long story short, the customer has the artwork, and I got STIFFED. What have we learned from this, kids?...DO NOT work on spec!
