More Photoshoppery.

This photo was almost discarded, and then I thought it might be a good candidate for some tweaking...resulting in the SECOND photo image - I attacked it with multiple filters and adjusted the colour balance and contrast until I achieved the desired effect. Somewhat better, I think...!

These happy little fellows are "Travel Bugs" - originally done as an on-going campaign for Galon Travel @10 years ago, I was always happy with the concept and appearance of these little 'toon crickets. Here they are now, in all their globe-trotting glory...

A quick explanation.

I wish I could say these were MY creations, but no - they're being used as EXAMPLES ONLY of Ed Roth's brilliant counter-culture cartoons. I needed to illustrate the difference between Roth's unconventional style and the kind of Melba-toast artwork that he was attempting to undermine to an acquaintance. The man was a genius. RIP, "Big Daddy." (Ed Roth - 1932-2001)
